So on our personal journey in the wonderful world of gardening and the great outdoors I have found it impossible to ignore the wildlife, the soil cultures, the plants and the people and they all deserve celebrating!
In our celebration of all the elements that we enjoy in our 'Sanctuary' I believe only then do we truly understand and engage with nature and ourselves. It is a thing to note, and our 'Sanctuary' should be multiple for our own mental and physical and spiritual well-being,
Sometimes it really is a moment when we witness the birdsong, a frog chorus, or flower opening. Or a sauna, a walk, a creative endeavour by friend or family shared.
This week I have enjoyed the start of hatching and buzzing of the early Solitary bees, found dragonfly larvae, tadpoles and newts. Also, some of the frogspawn was not protected enough in the allotment greenhouse with still plummeting night temps, so not all the spawn made it through which was disheartening and perhaps all the more important to enjoy and support the tads that make it.
I do enjoy also finding what others enjoy in their landscapes and how they can support and engage in theirs.
Im a bit odd perhaps in that I like to support the wildlife and fauna I find around me because I find it so vibrant and incredible and beautiful and that brings tremendous joy.
Do you find that? Are you a bit odd like me? I hope so. Nature needs us and we are nature also.
I will write more about how I support my wildlife in other posts as there are a lot of creatures all quite keen to be on the page, including the bees who are very nosey; the Mason Bees were all over me yesterday trying to give me a hand with the last few cardboard tubes of brood. It was like being hounded by a bunch of very small furry cats for dinner and a game of ball.
One way I like to celebrate these things with others is by literally wearing the T-shirt.
Now you can celebrate with your own T-shirt, Sweatshirt, Tea Towel and Canvas Tote in our small, but expanding range of designs!
The frog is a line art done by my Hubby Martin of one of our frogs btw.
